Where is it and how do I get there?
Pelham House is in Lewes, East Sussex, about a 3 minute walk from Lewes train station. There are direct trains from Clapham Junction.
When should I arrive?
You can arrive from midday. There is a lovely bar at Pelham House where you can have a tea, coffee or drink. Please be in your seats in the ceremony room by 12:45.
When do I get fed?
Excellent question from a seasoned wedding veteran. We recommend that you have brunch before you arrive. There are lots of great places to get a spot of brunch in Lewes! We've recommended a few at the bottom of this page. Canapés will be served after the ceremony, and we will sit down for the wedding breakfast at 4pm.
Can we take photos on the day?
Yes! Please take lots of photos and we would love to see them afterwards. Kindly avoid taking photographs in the ceremony itself – we will have a photographer with us all day.
Is there a gift list?
No gifts please, except love, joy and relentless enthusiasm on the dancefloor!
Is it indoor or outdoor?
The whole day will be indoor, but there is a beautiful terrace and lawn we can enjoy if the weather allows.
What should I wear?
The dress code is Formal and Fancy. Wear something you feel fabulous in. Think smart, with colourful or patterned fabrics, or an element of new year sparkle! Something that means you are ready to party. Please bring an outer layer in case we can have a drink outside.
Warming up!
For those who might head down on Friday night, or be available early on Saturday morning, there will be a South Downs trail run followed by a coffee and pastry in Lewes town centre. Let us know if you are keen to join!
Can I bring a plus one?
We have limited space and your invitation will specify if you have a plus one. If you're unsure, just get in touch with us.
Are children invited?
This is an adult only celebration. We hope you understand.
What do I do if I have any questions?
You can give us a call, drop us a message, or email us at mcwoolfwedding@proton.me any time.
